Hailing from Italy, WHYNE is an up and coming multi-genre musician and producer with a penchant for creating infectious tunes and relatable narratives. Inspired by internationally acclaimed Artists like SUM 41, Lady Gaga, The Chainsmokers, REZZ, Skrillex, Boombox cartel and many others. WHYNE’s music journey began at a tender age of 10 where he started playing piano. Going on to study piano, vocals, guitar and drums at the conservatory, WHYNE started producing music about 8 years ago. Being an avid storyteller, WHYNE is greatly influenced by real life, drawing inspiration for his music from personal experiences, allowing him to invoke strong emotions in people. Apart from invoking emotions, WHYNE also seems to have a unique innate competency to ingeniously present music in multiple styles, all while maintaining a consistent brand, one of the factors that make this producer one to keep an eye out for. With big dreams and plenty of energy to spare, WHYNE seeks to positively influence society with his music, and is well on his way to becoming one of the most phenomenal producers in our generation.
SGNB Records: It’s great to meet you, can you please tell us a bit about yourself.
WHYNE: My name is WHYNE, I’m from Italy, more precise I live near Venice, and I’m 24. Music has been a part of my life since I’ve had memories, and I’ve studied various musical instruments at the conservatory (piano, guitar, drums and sing).
SGNB Records: I read that you began producing music 8 years ago. How have you grown as a producer and musician in that time and what would you consider your biggest accomplishment?
WHYNE: Exactly, I start producing (electronic music) 8 years ago, if I made you hear what I produced before studying music production, you would probably cover your ears hahaha… but I think that it was also those unlistenable songs that took me to where I am now and took me to choose to study electronic music production. In these 8 years I worked for various artists, I produced many song of various genres and many of those were released. I think that my biggest accomplishment has been not giving up and keeping pushing for my dreams.
SGNB Records: Absolutely. What was the defining moment in your life that made you want to pursue a music career?
WHYNE: Well, I don’t think I had a “precise moment” I always want to pursue this career. Music has helped me in various occasions, I owe a lot of things to music, and still today the songs I write help me to move forward in certain moments.
SGNB Records: That’s great that you’re doing what you love. What is the biggest challenge you have faced as a producer?
WHYNE: I believe that as in anything the hardest part is believing in yourself, especially when you get “no”. I think I can consider myself lucky because I have a family that has always supported me and still supports me in the choice of this career, but it is not the only thing. We must support ourselves, every day and above all we must never stop to experiment and learn.
SGNB Records: Tell us a little more about your latest single Anyway I Miss You? It’s a fantastic track!
WHYNE: Thank you. Anyway has been a very long journey, at the moment it is the song that took me the longest time to write and produce it, in all 6 months. Anyway is about an experience I had many years ago where I lost a person I loved very much, Let’s say this song was a bit like the definitive step where I said “it’s time to let go and find a reason to smile” But I don’t wanna make a spoiler, just give a listen to the song 🙂
SGNB Records: What are your plans for the rest of 2022? Upcoming tracks, collaborations, shows?
WHYNE: Last night I’ve finished the 7th track, so yes I have many upcoming tracks and so many interesting collaborations, I’m working on something new, something different I can say only this for now, but I promise that new music is coming soon. Shows are in program too so stay tuned 😉
SGNB Records: Will stay tuned for sure! What are your passions outside of music?
WHYNE: I love the beach at summer in fact I love to produce music outside in summer, I love animals like all the animals, I love to make photos (it’s my second biggest passion) so when I can I learn new things about Photoshop or about my camera to make something new. And I love physics and space like they make me crazy, everything about space and physics make me crazy!!
